  • Caribou Designatable Unit Report
    At the November 2011 Wildlife Species Assessment Meeting, COSEWIC voted to adopt 12 designatable units (DUs) for Caribou (Rangifer tarandus) in Canada. The report this was based on, Designatable Units for Caribou (Rangifer tarandus) in Canada, is available by contacting the COSEWIC Secretariat (cosewic/cosepac@ec.gc.ca). COSEWIC will begin the process of assessing all DUs in 2012.
  • COSEWIC Decision - Eulachon Nass/Skeena Rivers Population
    At its November 2011 meeting, COSEWIC has decided, following receipt of new information and according to Section 24 of the Species at Risk Act, to undertake a reassessment of the Nass/Skeena Rivers population of Eulachon.
