Call for Applications: Periodically, COSEWIC seeks out qualified individuals to apply to serve as volunteer members on the Committee or one of its subcommittees.

Call for Bids: Periodically, COSEWIC invites experts to submit competitive bids to prepare status reports on species. COSEWIC maintains a list of high priority candidate species which it draws upon, in part, to prepare a Call for Bids request. Effective Fall 2007, any reports or projects commissioned by COSEWIC exceeding $25,000.00 will be posted on MERX (http://www.merx.com), and not on a COSEWIC call for bids. MERX postings do not necessarily coincide with the posting dates for COSEWIC calls for bids.

Canadian Wildlife Species at Risk Publication: A publication produced by the COSEWIC Secretariat following each wildlife species assessment meeting. It includes all wildlife species assessed by COSEWIC, with their status designations and the history of their evaluations.

Press Releases: COSEWIC publicly announces results of its wildlife species assessments with a press release at the end of each meeting. COSEWIC meets at least once each year, in the spring, to assess the status of wildlife species. If needed, COSEWIC meets again in late fall.
